YOUR PORTAL TO THE NEXT UNIVERSE

One of the most intriguing aspects of quantum theory is the observation that quantum particles disappear from one state and reappear in another state instantaneously. This phenomena could not be explained by the principles of physics as we know it. Experts in the area admit the difficulty, if not improbability, of measuring the precise state of a quantum particle at a particular space and time. A quantum particle exists in all possible measures, until it is measured. Apparently, even when it is measured and its state 'properly' elucidated, it could still disappear into thin air, and instantaneously reappear out of another thin air. It seems, at a quantum level, the world that we know takes on a different form and character. One of the mind boggling explanations of such 'jumping' is that quantum particles concurrently resonate in multiple planes or membranes, or universes, constantly disappearing from one and reappearing in another. Indeed, this scientific field is replete with magnificent theories and propositions; the deeper one goes, the deeper it gets.

Yet, this 'quantum jumping' phenomena is particularly intriguing as it entails extraordinary consequences, most notably the possible existence of alternate universes. History looses its directionality at this level, ceasing to exist as a unidirectional river dictated by deterministic causality, but instead occurring as multiple parallel stories in multiple parallel universes.

I wish to delete this post, fold my computer, and go to sleep. But I did not do that and I am still writing. This happened because the concerted actions of my will and my body, from the motor cortex of my brain to the muscles of my fingers, to the cells inside them, to the atoms in those proteins, and to the quantum particles in those atoms made the persistence of my writing possible. However, if those quantum particles inside my fingers are responsible for my writing actions at this very moment, at the very basic level, and if those same particles disappear from and reappear into existence in this universe, would it not be plausible that they perform a similar action in another plane or universe where they jumped to? And if so, would it be possible that their actions resulted in a different consequence in another universe? Perhaps, I did delete this post, folded my computer, and headed to my bed in the other universe. That is interesting - the quantum stuff jumping from here to there and carrying me along with it.

But from here to where exactly? Do those particles always jump to a same place - universe - all the time, or to many unrelated universes concomitantly? Indeed, those chaotic particles are unlikely to choose their precise destinations, rather tending to land on an endless number of unrelated planes, existences or universes. A countless number of parallel universes, each constantly interacting with one another at a quantum level, and possibly shaping their histories interdependently. Curiouser and curiouser indeed! And what more could a curiouser mind ponder about but finding a way of peeping into these mysterious alternate universes! Would it be possible for such ridiculously gigantic objects such as ourselves to see through the slits between which our quantum friends inside us jump in and out of existence? Can we locate the portal between the universes? After all, it might indeed be possible! Stay tuned..
